Messenger (Meta)
I concepted and directed novel AR designs, launching first-of-their-kind AR camera effects and activities for Meta’s Messenger. This work is seen and shared by billions of people around the globe and high-profile partnerships celebrate some of the most significant international and cultural events.
When I started on this project, AR in-product content at Meta had just begun. Messenger had yet to establish standard practices in tech or define strategy for direction. There were minimal tools for efficient production and meaningful user functionality was basic. Each singular piece of AR content was time consuming and yielded only incremental engagement gains.
Successfully onboarding vendors, establishing production flows, defining distinctive release types, and quickly iterating on our top performers enabled this product to grow and eventually redefine the XR useability space.
